Rosenhaus is well known for his aggressive tactics when it comes to the representation of his clients. In addition, he is also known for often generating large contracts for his clients. Early in his career as an agent he talked NFL general managers into allowing cameras to document the negotiations.

There are other NFL agents that have publicly and privately had issues with Rosenhaus and they claim that he sometimes violates NFLPA rules by contacting players who are signed with other agents. They claim that Rosenhaus uses players to recruit other NFL players and prospects, also a violation.

However, the NFLPA have no formal findings of any violations by Rosenhaus.
